Steam cleaning is also known in the industry as “Hot Water Extraction” and is widely regarded as the most thorough method to clean your carpets. It involves injecting steaming hot water into the pile of the carpet and vacuuming it out simultaneously to remove all the yucky stuff that gets trapped there.

Our 8-Stage Cleaning Process

No matter what your carpet needs we have cleaning processes to make it clean again & smelling great. Each carpet is assessed depending on the level of soiling & staining and we choose the best method to get the absolute best results. As each carpet is different we discuss with you what is required from the list to achieve the best possible clean.

Pre-Vacuum

Depending on the type of vaccuum you have or how often its done will determine the level of dry soil contained in your carpet. A thorough vacuum with our high quality commercial vacuum cleaner will remove the bulk of the dry soil and ensure a superior clean. Many budget carpet cleaners miss this very important step and cannot achieve the same results A-Team can. If a carpet cleaner adds moisture to dry soil it becomes mud in your carpet which goes deeper into the pile and is much harder to remove and will rise back to the top when it dries. Which makes your carpet look dirty still. A-Team assess this very important point on site and vacuum when required. You know, it's funny how many customers have said to us "The carpet cleaning looks amazing!" when we've only completed the vacuuming stage : )
Cleaning Solution Applied

Prior to cleaning your carpet we prespray it with a high quality carpet solution that helps to remove the remaining soiling from your carpet and suspends it in the pile ready to be flushed out with steam cleaning. The type of prespray we choose depends on a number of factors eg: Carpet fibre type, level of soiling, type of soiling, condition of the carpet and age of the carpet. All solutions we use are safe and of the highest quality. Unfortunately budget carpet cleaners either don't use prespray solutions at all which lead to a drastically inferior clean or the cheapest and possibly nastiest chemicals that can actually damage your carpet eg: remove the factory stain resistance and possibly void your warranty. Be assured that A-Team only use the best and safest solutions to give a superior clean.
Pre-Scrub Traffic Areas

Sometimes there are areas of carpet that require agitation to ensure the best clean. Generally this is areas like carpet that leads into a kitchen, commonly used walkways & stairs. This can be done with a carpet rake, a rotary floor scrubbing machine or a pile lifter. What method we choose depends on the severity of soiling. But rest assured we will inspect the carpet and advise which method will be required to achieve the best carpet clean.
Pile Lifting

Sometimes carpet can become compressed in high traffic areas. A pile lifting machine is the only way to make that carpet lift back up and look like it used too. A pile lifter is a high quality piece of machinery that has 2 counter rotating brush rolls that gently but firmly lift the carpet up and substantially improve carpet pile compression. It also has an amazing ability to remove pet hair and the deepest soil, sand or grit that are lying in the bottom of your carpet.
Stain Treatment

When there is a mark on your carpet that will not be removed with carpet cleaning we refer to that as a stain. Each stain needs to be treated separately and usually with differing solutions and processes. At A-Team we have been formally trained by the industry's best and have been conquering stains now for over 12 years. Once onsite we assess the requirements for stain removal and advise you what will be required. Needless to say we have a very high success rate for complete removal or drastic improvements.
Steam Cleaning & Extraction

This is where your carpet cleaning all comes together. With steam cleaning we are injecting very hot water into your carpet and removing it simultaneously with high powered vacuum suction via a carpet cleaning wand. This flushes and removes the soil and contaminents out of your carpet and sends it to our waste tank. We ensure that we leave your carpet with as little moisture as possible with dry times as little as 2-4 hours.
Carpet Grooming

Carpet grooming is the process of re-setting your carpets pile back to its normal state. This is done with a carpet rake that is manually run through all the carpet to ensure the pile has uniformity and is lifted up. This assists with drying times and makes your carpet look great.
Deodorising

We will leave your carpet smelling fantastic and fresh. We use a lovely smelling citrus deodoriser that our customers just love. Not only will it be clean it will smell clean.
